Dr. Katherine Fening is a respected double-board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. A summa cum laude graduate of Saint Louis University in 2006 and a magna cum laude graduate of the Ohio State University School of Medicine in 2010, Dr. Fening completed her dermatology residency and dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was honored as Chief Resident in Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatopathology. Dr. Fening’s expertise in medical dermatology and her commitment to understanding skin conditions at a detailed level make her a valuable asset to the Village Dermatology team.

Dr. Fening, originally from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, now calls Vestavia Hills, Alabama home, where she lives with her husband, Brandon, and their two children. When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Fening enjoys traveling to visit family and friends, crocheting, and exploring new restaurants and craft breweries.
